What do different Web Hosting packages offer?  Design and Hosting packages are custom tailored to the individual requirements of your business or organization.  Packages depend on the volume of business, design, e-commerce, database programming and credit card processing and other factors, however our standard packages are suitable for most small to medium sized businesses.  Packages differ on the basis of different features that are included in it such as:

  • Hard Disk Space.  This is the space required on the server to store and provide information on your business and to conduct eCommerce where required.  Web Space or Drive space is determined by the size of your html files, graphic files, application programs, auto responders, users, e-mail, secure server requirements, etc.

  • Bandwidth.  We provide 5000MB/month of bandwidth which supports thousands of hits per month.  This amount is usually sufficient for a small to medium sized business not having a high volume of eCommerce activity.

  • POP3 Email Accounts.  POP3 means Post Office Protocol.  It is a protocol used by mail clients to retrieve messages from a mail server.  POP3 email accounts allows you to send, store, and retrieve email messages.  Users have the option to retrieve email directly from POP3 mailboxes on the mail server using programs like Microsoft Outlook Express or Eudora. High level domain accounts provide even more POP addresses for your use.  You can also purchase additional mailboxes as needed.  The additional mailboxes can be assigned unique ID's and passwords to ensure privacy.

  • FTP.  FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol.  FTP basically means the method of uploading and downloading files from one computer to another at a remote site.  FTP is used mainly to either transfer your web pages to the web or download files.  There are many FTP software programs that can be downloaded off the web.  We suggest WSFTP.  A evaluation copy can be downloaded from our support pages.

  • Email Alias.  Email Alias is an email address to which normal email, registered with an account or user name on our system, is forwarded to this address.

  • Front Page Server Extensions.  Front Page Server Extensions will allow you to develop web pages in Front Page and load them directly on to your host server.  Note:  Only one method of FTP is allow4ed when using Front Page Extensions.

  • SSL.  SSL as Secured Sockets Layer is termed, can be set up for your domain.  Please inform us in advance if you need SSL.  We provide 128 bit encryption certificates.

  • AutoResponders.  By setting the autoresponder you can reply to incoming emails automatically.  You can send a Thank You email to a person if he or she completes your information form.

  • CGI-BIN Directories.  You can use the cgi-bin directory to run CGI scripts. You use such scripts as hit-counters, guestbooks, forms, etc.
